GIVEAWAY~!!

GIVEAWAY! Three small cards, with envelopes -- blank inside for your sentiments. :) Leave a comment on my blog between now and Wednesday and your name will go in the drawing. Make a purchase on my etsy account http://michelelaurene.etsy.com and your name will go in twice.

I am off to Seattle tomorrow! I can't wait to relax with my sister Lesha and my sweet baby niece Brielle. We will bargain shop, drink lattes, go out for a couple of nice meals and best of all, enjoy eachother's company! This is only the second time I have left Willem overnight! But I feel so good about the guys hanging out this weekend. Merit and Willem are at great ages for a fun weekend with dad.

It's been a fun week!

Will! Playing outside

Our buddy Luke, Merit and Will

This whole losing a tooth has been a BIG deal at the Jansen house!! Merit ASKED me to blog it! This is him pretending to sleep! And placing the baby tooth under his pillow....
The tooth fairy brought him two gold coins and a small NASCAR :)

And here is a sneak preview of what our boys will be tonight! Superman and a ninja. I think they look so great in their costumes and they are excited to load up on candy!

What we've been doin......

Time to take a look at what the Jansen's have been up to. :) All three "boys" in my family are sick. Vance has bronchitis, Will a sinus infection and Merit just a cold. I am healthy and hope I can remain healthy! I feel bad for these coughing, sick guys -- hopefully they are on the mend, they have their antibiotics.
Merit has been SO excited about a loose tooth he has and just as I sat at the computer to post, he told me IT CAME OUT! He is excited! Evidently, the tooth fairy brings a whistle or a helicopter! I am glad I learned this information this evening. But Vance mentioned to Merit that the tooth fairy might have tonight off, so she would be "flying in" tomorrow!
Willem is on the go. Merit and I love to play soccer and Will is now really getting into the game too! He loves to be read to, his favorite show is Little Bear, and he likes copying his big bro.
I have had so much fun having families come out for pictures! Five families came out last week. So many smiling, happy COOPERATIVE kids... I am impressed.

After viewing the Barta's pics again... I decided I needed to add even more :)

I had to add three more favorites... this is fun!

The Bartas!

My husband asked me if I was going to post pictures of our family anymore or if my blog has turned into the "photography website" I WILL post pics of my family again and what we are up to, but when I have subjects as great as these come out, how can I not post them?! In fact, I had a tough time posting only five of this cute, energetic, fun family!

Wonderful Weekend

Lovely families, neat opportunities... thanks Tina for bringing "the whole gang" out.

These Autumn days are so beautiful! I would love it if this weather lasted another month! This weekend I have enjoyed time spent relaxing with my family AND lots of photography.

I've been tagged, now you're it!

This "tag game" is fun. Jessica did it on her blog, followed by Alisa and then I was specifically tagged by Autumn! I was tagged to post my 4th photo from my 4th folder! Girls, it was fun seeing what your picture from the past was.
Willem when he was 11 months old on this sweet picture! Time flies... I am so thankful for two healthy boys. I am thankful for all the holiday fun...right now planning for Halloween and before we know it it will be Thanksgiving and then we will be trimming the tree for Christmas.

Handsome, beautiful and adorable

Look at these three... Baby girl Mackenzie is fashionable and adorable. Michael and Jessica are beautiful people. Their love for this darling child is evident in every way. I loved walking and talking with them yesterday while we got some very fun pictures of their cute family.

The Bowser Family

A mom and her sons.
Two girls, four boys, two loving parents who look to the Lord for guidance...this family is a blessing to many. One year ago I took the Bowser's family pictures, but the boy on the end was not yet a part of this loving family. Ming joined the Bowser family this summer. After praying, waiting and anticipating, their entire family travelled to China, met Ming and brought him home.

I love this family.

Look at the Molitors! I am crazy about this family. If you have met Marie, you know she is a child of God, she is self-less, humble and beautiful. I am proud to call her my friend. I truly enjoyed photographing their sweet family.

Winner announced!

Congrats to Aja Jenise who won my Home Accent cards giveaway!!

Enjoying fun filled Autumn days

This has been a fun, busy week! The night of Merit's birthday, the 14th, he had a soccer game and we went bowling. FUN! Merit had been asking to go bowling for 4 months or longer, so that was a special birthday treat, but I think Willem enjoyed it even more than Merit. I took soccer pictures Wednesday evening for a team named the Cobra's. The Molitor family came over yesterday afternoon for pictures... I will post some of those soon. They are such a cute family and the lighting was nice and the weather great! Took our cute lab puppy, Betty, for yet more vaccinations today. Then I had to get a few pumpkins to decorate the yard but have my front porch currently "under construction" -- just having fun with Autumn touches :). And although I should have come home today and worked on course work I made cards instead. These two little groups of three will be listed on Etsy -- only $4 for the set of three and free shipping...can't beat that. :) But seriously, if I don't really buckle down on classes soon I will be sorry. I am finding the time here and there and the content is interesting...but playing with these boys, going for a walk with the new puppy, card making and Autumn baking always sounds more fun.

Merit is SIX!!

Wow, what fun birthday celebrations we have had! Merit had a party with friends at AIM gymnastics on Friday night.

Friends Our good friend Emma and our buddy Luke checks out what she can do.
Six candles on his cake!
Will and Amara enjoy leftover pizza and cake at home. :)
I brought birthday treats to Merit's classroom on Tuesday, his actual birthday. Here he is with Mrs. Johnson. He has a great teacher, a fun class and he loves school!

A Wednesday update

The weather today is gorgeous! I went outdoors with the second-grade class I was teaching today. We looked for a ring a student had lost (an...
