Oren and Otis

Oren, Hazel, and Vance flew to Wyoming Saturday - along with extended family - to watch Emily play basketball! 

Our niece and cousin plays for the Wyoming Cowgirls!

Willem stayed back because he had field clean up Saturday. Baseball try outs begin tomorrow. 

I had a wonderful time putting scripture on photos - I love making cards with these! I was also able to do a few jobs around here after teaching most of last week. Willem and I went out for Japanese food last night! It was delicious and fun to go out. 

The Westcliff baseball team was in Scottsdale, Arizona. Merit had never been to Scottsdale and really liked it! 

 

Tomorrow is Monday already! I will teach fifth grade! 

Willem is in the middle of applying for a few scholarships. 

Hazel is looking forward to track and will begin some at home training this week. 

Oren has a basketball game Tuesday night! His team is so fun! 

Vance is borrowing a roller from a friend and will do some rolling in the pasture etc.

Hazel registers for high school Thursday night!

It remains cold! 

The sun comes out and everyone comes alive and then we are back to a cold wind and snow.

We woke up to a dusting of snow this morning. We get out when we can.

It is so hard for this to be over. I am already missing it. Willem's determination and hustle make me so proud!

I AM SO PROUD of Wild Will.

 His defense is so impressive! 

He went from not a lot of minutes on the court to starting and he plays nearly the whole game. He never stops working! 

I am proud of this team.

Today was wild! But good! 

Vance is in Mexico. Nellie is Vance's sidekick! I mean she goes everywhere with him. 

So, I was leaving for work at 8:20 and knew that Oren and I could not leave this sweet dog behind. We loaded her up. She likes riding, she is a good passenger. 

I ran her home right after I dropped the 4th graders off at Music. 

I ran home to check on her at lunch and had a bowl of Lucky Charms. She is doing okay, Nellie is. She just misses Vance.

Merit leaves tomorrow morning at 4:30 am for Boise. He and the other baseball players who made the travel squad play Friday - one game - two games Saturday - one game Sunday. They stick around for the Super Bowl and don't fly home until Monday. 

When he told me he was happy, but I had to remind him that if I would have told him during his senior year of high school about this weekend --- this coming weekend that he has ahead, he would have been ecstatic! #thesearethedays

I would love to go to Boise and watch these games, but Senior Night for Willem is Saturday - which will also be fantastic! 

Teaching 4th grade today was great! 

Fun kids and good learning -

We ran several errands after school and I picked up Pizza Hut for dinner. 

Headed to bed soon.

Basketball and farm life are keeping us busy! 

As well as school and teaching...

This is Hazel's last week of cheering for middle school basketball. Senior Night for Willem is Sat night! 

I already have a lot of emotions. 

Oren has basketball practice Tuesday and Thursday nights.  The pasture and barn call us out often. We clean bathrooms, do dishes, and fold laundry in the early morning and late night.
