1st Place!

This team is made up of 6  Moses Lake guys, 1 Warden guy and several from Ellensburg. It works, it jives - it is so fun.

I missed a lot of games and I made a lot of games.

This summer has been blurry at times. We are kind of walking through "muck" but wins like this with great examples of teamwork sure make us smile.

We are so excited to see some cousins in the coming weeks.

Baseball is done for the summer for Merit and Willem.

To see them take the championship left us with big smiles!

Moses Lake

I looked at this picture and thought wow! That long legged girl is Hazel!
The lake is five minutes from here.
It was fairly smoky here yesterday so we did not want to spend a ton of time outside - but it felt so good to cool off in the lake for a bit!
Willem rode his bike and met Hazel, Oren, and I there.

Monday!

Regionals - some great baseball

Can I just say I LOVE a break from making school lunches! I love a break from homework and nagging reminding people what school homework and stuff needs to be done.

It's pretty easy to love summer. Especially the mornings and the evenings.

After having had a foggy brain and low energy, I have had a week of a lot of clarity and more energy. No magical supplement or day at the spa...Granted, 95 degrees is NOTHING like 112. I am extremely grateful for the clarity I have been granted! (Prayer)

So between remembering to love myself, remembering to drink water!, praying often, and just finding joy in the journey, things seem to be looking up.

Today is a good day. I have laundry going all day and my dryer that was struggling is drying again! Whoop whoop Willem went to summer basketball this morning (he is healthy, strong, and loves it). Merit, Hazel, and I took time to clean out a closet (long overdue).

I went to a garden center where many of their annuals are 75 percent off. I got several bay leaf plants! Bay leaves in soups, stews and spaghetti through the winter is so wonderful! My friend Marilyn got me a bay leaf plant on clearance a couple few years ago. We pulled from that plant for over a year, leaving it near a window in our dining room! One week it died and I had been looking for one off and on since! I was so happy to find them!

Happy Monday and cheers to a good week.

Merit, Willem, and I went blue berry picking yesterday - before it got too hot. oh my gosh the berries are delicious. Some blueberries we recently purchased were zapped by the heat so we did not have high expectations for these, but they are so good.

We plan to get to the museum soon. And Hazel and Oren are thinking the water park sounds fun!

Regionals for River Dog is close to home this year! Ephrata! It has been fun.

Peace and Truth

I have been seeing old men walking out of the grocery store with shorts and compression socks, knee high. This heat stinks if you have swelling issues. I bought Natasha some stylish compression socks (if there is such a thing) before their Florida trip several months ago.

Tasha is my bucket list beauty. What is amazing about her is that she is not trying to cross things off of just her own bucket list. She is trying to help me cross things off of mine, others too quite possibly.

Tony's Tavern in Custer, Wa will be a bucket list cross off this August.

Yesterday was a rough day. My sisters sent me a picture, it was of them on a walk out by Tasha and Reese's, out by my dad's, out where I grew up. The picture hit me in several ways. I missed that area. I missed my sisters. There was a light heartedness in their eyes, genuine smiles.  I realized nothing had been light hearted for a bit. I was not letting my heart, my soul, my mind, just be. Be in kind conversation, exploration, joy - it is okay to not worry about the next detail.

Funny how powerful that all felt yesterday.

Ohhhh! Today while thrifting. I bought Books 1, 2 and 3 of Nancy Drew!

The boys found a Tom Hanks movie they have never seen!

I love this verse today;

I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6

The Blues and the River Dogs

summer ball is just this hot, fun, busy gift that requires a lot of juggling, sandwich making, dirty laundry and most of all fun

I spend a good portion of my days trying to figure out where I should be and when.

There is always room for improvement. I am happy to say we got to watch Willem play in Idaho Saturday and Merit in Pullman yesterday.

Today, Merit is in Pullman and Willem is in Rathdrum, Idaho again. It takes a village, ours is incredible.

Fun at home, the Favored Farmhouse

 The silliness of home!

I am having a really good time consigning at the Favored Farmhouse! Thank you for the support!
#shoplocal
#beinspired
There is a lot of new merchandise there! Pillows, signs, purses, wallets, candles, clothing, earrings, baby items, essential oils...
There is also a lot of gently used and vintage! Kitchen items, signs, childrens clothing, home decor, baskets, frames, candle holders...

I have not had a lot of time to thrift and hunt but have found moments here and there and have done a little re-stocking this week. The chickens were hard for me to part with!!

Have a terrific weekend.

Weekend Highlights!

Prom!  Stunning couples!  A gorgeous evening!  Willem and Raegen! Yesterday was the baseball parade and opening ceremonies! SO many people! ...
