Half way through Spring Break

This was Vance's Grandpa Henry's Ford 5000 tractor.

We moved to Boardman, Oregon about a month after my mom passed away. During the three years we lived there, both of my sisters got married, Grandpa Henry passed away, and Merit was born just a couple of weeks after Grandpa Henry passed... My nephew Kai was born, our nephew and niece Luke and Emily were born, along with our niece Isabel.

A lot of life happened when we lived in that little house in the country very far away from all of these happenings. I was a little homesick.

Before Merit was born, we got two goats! Rick and Mindy drove them to Vance's dads and Mindy, Kris, Carly and Kelcy drove them to Boardman! Oh and Abby Jo (our niece) too.
Those goats were good company.

My brother Matt ended up going to college in Walla Walla and weekend visits from him were truly a highlight!!

This tractor was also passed onto Vance during our time in Boardman.

Vance recently took an interest in cleaning it up and replaced some things on it! It was a great early spring project. He bought new tires for it too and had a diesel mechanic come out and work on it.

It looks good.

I don't know how people vacation during spring break! Our to do list has been so long and we may be lucky to get through half of what we hoped to accomplish.

Willem, Hazel, and Oren swept and mopped for me this morning and Hazel and Oren went through three totes of toys.

We have tons of leaves and tumbleweeds in the flower beds and we had a lot of leaves that blew into the fence line yesterday. Vance and the kids tackled some of that.

Merit sent me a picture of him at a coffee house, getting ready to play pool before he and the team headed out of town - yesterday - for today's games in Ontario, Oregon.

Bootstraps is needing some ground work.
We love nice weather to get out and work with him!!
