Boardman, OR

Going back to Boardman was a fun trip down memory lane.
We lived there for three years. We took Merit home from the hospital when we lived in that little blue house.
Life was simple, quiet, it was good and sometimes lonely.

The campground in Boardman is beautiful! Right on the river, huge spaces to run and play! The kids loved it.

When we left Boardman, Merit was 15 months old. We had not been back in 12 years! And going back with 4 kids felt odd and wonderful!

We could not have asked for better weather and the sunset was beautiful.

I hope we will go back again in a year or two. Good memories were made.

SPRING BREAK

This SpRiNg BrEaK so far has been GOOD!

We had a lot of wind Monday, but otherwise the weather has been great! Vance has the yard looking GREEN! He has already mowed it too. Lots of basketball going on around here, baseball too. Jump roping, gardening, camper cleaning! We will head to Boardman for a night of camping! I can't wait to see our old stomping grounds.

We have mostly been home and I seriously sweep the kitchen floor 4 times a day.

These kids are getting along great ( I lucked out in this department) But Oren has been bossing us around when he gets the chance.

Yesterday we enjoyed fro yo OUTDOORS at Blue Palm.

A Merit quote this spring break that I likely won't forget;

Merit: "Mom, you go thrifting so much Oren is starting to smell like the Senior Center."

Spring Goodness

Baseball is in session!!! Every day! Dedicated boys!
Picture of Merit soon...

The yellow she is facing is a HUGE beautiful willow tree!!

Life is good on Crab Creek.

Our chickens, especially this white one (Toasted Marshmallow) - got really spooked a couple of days ago. Two neighbor dogs were in our yard going after them. Willem shouted at the dogs and they ran away. But, not one egg today. A stressed chicken has a hard time laying eggs. Poor girls.

Chilly days, good days

7 degrees, 14 degrees ..... Gosh these days are chilly but the sunshine is glorious! Each day little ice crystals for on the Russian Olives...
