Making decisions...

Willem is humor, helpful hands, and happy to lift, move, load, and has input.

We do not particularly enjoy the decisions.

We love Dennis at Lowe’s! Grants in Ephrata has been really good too - a locally owned business.

We went from play, pause, to fast forward

I wake up super early some mornings and start compiling a to do list in my head. I tend to drive myself crazy.

Last March through August I slept like a baby. First time in twenty years. All the kids under one roof. Activities stopping or slowing way down. I caught my breath. And I slept well. Life was sort of on pause.

Then life began to play again a few months ago. And it felt good to incorporate some normalcy into what wasn't for so long. And now, I feel like we are sort of moving quickly, like on fast forward. Baseball turned into basketball but wait - it is still baseball. I am getting so many calls to sub. The yard needs attention. People are gathering. There are meetings, plans for grad parties, there are events...

I try to calm down an hour or so before bed. Note to self, get the sleepy time tea going. A little tea, some pistachios or a banana.... Another thing that has helped me sleep a bit better is magnesium before bed.

These kids are so busy. And it is good! It is good.

My mind and my body are missing regular exercise. I talked to Vance about this the other day. I explained I cannot find the time. He suggested I exercise instead of doing something else... yes, but like what??

I do not watch TV. I read for ten minutes before bed.

So I realized, I spend probably one hour a week thrifting and probably two hours a week on social media. I could turn that three hours a week into exercising. Oh I hope I can do it.

I spend probably six hours a week gardening. I am not taking that away! Plus it does provide a bit of exercise.

Teaching has been a blast, a blessing, and I have the money spent just as soon as I earn it. Phew.

Both boys are happy with their basketball shoes from last year, yet they look pretty worn.

I am kicking myself for not ordering a letterman's jacket for Merit - I think I am still gonna do it! 😀

Our shop is costing us WAY MORE than we would have guessed! But with construction costs through the roof it is just the way it is for anyone who has taken on a building project.

This kid.
His future is bright.

The joys! Of very busy days!

Begging, wishing, wanting to be able to go to away games! The season is so short.

Oren loved face timing Ingrid on his birthday!

Heading into sub third grade and wishing for a few more hours in each day.
