SUMMER!

Hazel requested I buy some makeup wedges at the store. I did. 

What does she do with them? Paints them as slices of cake!!

Oh!!!I wish kinder was part time! 

Right now, there is thunder outside and it is raining, I love the smell of rain! If I did not have six errands to run, I would sit in the house with a cup of tea and enjoy it.

Vance, Oren, Willem, and Merit went over to Lynden just for the day.

They also went to Stan and Adie's for a graduation party for Abby!

They got to fly over, it was a quick, fun day!

We'll get over for a quick trip next weekend and be able to see my family.

This rooster is so handsome!

He is so loud! 

Vance sometimes chases him around the yard, sort of putting him in his place. It is sort of funny to watch. I may not have this rooster for five years, or maybe not even five days but if just one baby chick can hatch out of this deal, I will be oh so thrilled! 

She is the BEST cat!

He looks mad, he really wasn't - but I was interrupting his play in the mud. 

We were very lucky to have cousin fun the last two days, actually Merit, Willem, and Oren were with cousins the last THREE DAYS! Swimming, hanging out, boating, laughing, visiting...

Case William

Some days I have sort of lost the ability to relate to those around me. Some days my heart aches so much for those I love that I become withdrawn.

My chickens have to hear the long versions of life's injustices. Oh, I just laughed as I typed that.

My kids pick me up when I am down. This is not their job, but wow, they are good at it.

Today my nephew Case would be TEN. TEN years old! Our mom is watching him blow out ten birthday candles in heaven!

 Natasha and I were pregnant with Hazel and Case at the same time! It was SO fun to get together at Oma's lodge in Plain, WA!! Oh I laugh when I think of that trip!

A fun day trip (day trips are the best) at Steamboat Rock. The water was terrific for swimming!

 our sunset last night was gorgeous!

Feeling SO very thankful that we got to do a little early birthday celebration for my niece Ingrid here. Reese is doing hay hauling now - his trucking often takes him to Idaho, Oregon, Othello... so for me to be able to grab his family from him on Monday evening in Othello and take them back to Moses Lake for a day and a half was a treat!! 
Ingrid turns five in just a few days, but a lot of her family will be in Illinois for Reese's grandmother's funeral. So getting in a mini birthday celebration here was great accompanied with a treasure hunt! 
The big boys tubed the creek yesterday, they went a long ways down. Sun burnt and laughing, they had fun! They wrote a couple of songs while they were here too. Oh they made me laugh. Continued prayers for Natasha are so appreciated. She has a heart appt in Seattle tomorrow.
